1000 MILES

In 2013 we lived through every parent-to-be’s nightmare, when we were told our unborn son had a large tumour on his spine. For a month following Harry’s birth we lived in the hospital as the staff and volunteers worked tirelessly to care for us and Harry. Following the removal of the tumour and part of his spine Harry is now fit and well, and was finally discharged from his last follow up appointment in December 2018.
Over the past 5 years we have tried to fundraise for the Children’s Hospital Charity (who have Humphrey the Bear as their mascot), to thank them in some small way for the kindness they showed us in our darkest times. Next year, to celebrate Harry’s final appointment and to draw a line under this chapter of our lives we will be completing by far our biggest challenge to date, completing a sponsored bike ride of over 1000 miles across 3 countries .

This page gives a few details about the challenge, why we’re doing this and some of the (mad) volunteers who make this possible.
